Tuberculous Peritonitis in a Hemodialysis Patient with Liver Disease

2017
Tuberculous peritonitis (TbP) is an uncommon peritoneal infection but remains a major clinical problem in many developing countries, where the incidence of tuberculosis (Tb) is high. The clinical presentation may be insidious and variable. Because of the indolent nature of the infection, combined with limited diagnostic strategies, most often the diagnosis is delayed resulting in a high morbidity and mortality. We hereby report a case of non-caseating TbP in a hemodialysis (HD) patient with liver disease.
