CT Angiography of Splanchnic Vessels

2004
Computed tomographic angiography (CTA) is a powerful tool for a minimally-invasive, safe, relatively comfortable and low-cost evaluation of the vascular system (Rubin et al. 1999). Using dedicated scanning protocols, low-dose acquisitions can also be obtained, minimizing radiation exposure (van Gelder et al. 2002). As a result, CTA has now the potential to be a diagnostic alternative to conventional angiography.
