Synthesis and characterization methods of branched polymer

Because of the special structures and properties,as well as the possibility of large-scale production,branched polymers have become one of the most important kinds of polymer materials rapidly,which have broad application potentials.Based on the extensive literature,the review was devoted to the discussion of recent developments in the field of synthesis reactions,including main chain initiation method,main chain-branched chain coupling method,macromonomer-monomer copolymerization method and in the field of characterization methods,including infrared spectroscopy method,NMR method,differential thermal analysis method,GPC-automatic viscometer method.Besides,the advantages and disadvantages of adopted methods were evaluated.All those were reviewed in an attempt to make this field to be further understood,and to accelerate its development more quickly.
