integrated catalytic cracking and pyrolysis with steam to produce olefins process.

2004
A process for producing olefins comprising: providing a process unit producing olefins comprising parallel zones pyrolysis with steam, FCC and light FCC gas oil and residue olefins, passing a stream of light alkanes comprising ethane, propane, or a combination thereof, through the pyrolysis zone with steam, and quenching from the same effluent to form a pyrolysis effluent which is enriched in ethylene, propylene or combination thereof; cracking a light hydrocarbon stream comprising olefins having at least 4 carbon atoms in the light olefin FCC in order to form a first FCC effluent enriched in ethylene, propylene or a combination thereof; cracking a refinery stream comprising gas oil, diesel full interval, a residue, or a combination thereof, in the FCC gas oil and residue in order to form a second effluent FCC enriched in ethylene, propylene or a combination thereof; together fractionating effluent from FCC first and second to remove a heavy naphtha a light cycle oil, an oil slurry, or a combination thereof, and recovering a fraction of FCC containing combined olefins, conditioning the effluent pyrolysis together with the combined FCC fraction to remove oxygenates, acid gases, water or a combination thereof to form a conditioned stream; separating the stream packaged in at least one gas stream queues, a product stream of ethylene, a product stream of propylene, a light stream comprising ethane, propane, or a combination thereof, an intermediate stream comprising olefins of C4 through C6 and a heavy hydrocarbon stream comprising C7 and heavier; recycling light to the pyrolysis zone with steam stream; recycling the intermediate stream to the area for light olefin FCC; hydrotreating the heavy stream to obtain a hydrotreated stream; extracting a product stream comprising benzene, toluene, xylenes or a mixture thereof from the hydrotreated stream to obtain a raffinate stream lean in aromatics; and recycling the raffinate stream to the pyrolysis zone with steam.
