respectively while in group B they were present in adult 29% and children 18%. 31% of women with rUTI in childhood will present rUTI in adulthood (p1⁄40.02); 21.9% of women with childhood constipation will present rUTI in adulthood (p1⁄40.03). Nocturnal enuresis was present in 1% and 7% respectively in group A and B. There is a correlation between NE and urinary incontinence (UI) in adulthood), 55% of the women with enuresis will develop urinary incontinence (UI) in adulthood (p1⁄40.02), while no correlation between childhood NE and urgency, storage and voiding symptoms during adulthood emerged in the analysis. CONCLUSIONS: Our data demonstrated that an important correlation emerged between childhood and adulthood rUTIs, and between NE and UI in adulthood. It suggests an anatomical or other susceptibility to rUTI. Girls with rUTIs and NE should be carefully studied to identify a treatment or prevention strategy for urological problems in adult life.
