Transverse single-spin asymmetries in inclusive ha dron electroproduction at Hermes

Single-spin asymmetries were investigated in inclusive electroproduction of charged pions and kaons from a transversely polarized hydrogen target at the Hermes experiment. In the kinematic range pT < 3.0 GeV and 0.01 < xF < 1, positive asymmetries were measured for positive hadrons, while for negative hadrons they were found to be of smaller magnitude and with significantly different pT dependence for different bins in xF.
