Initial cytodiagnosis of salivary gland tumor on liver fine needle aspirate.

2021
A 63 year old female presented with pain in right hypochondrium for 7 months. She also complained of weakness, nausea and loss of appetite for last 2 months. Patient was anicteric. Liver function tests were within normal range except for mild increase in serum alkaline phosphatase and serum CA19.9. Chest roentgenogram was normal. Contrast enhanced MRI scan of the abdomen revealed large, relatively well defined, heterogeneously enhancing space occupying lesion measuring 11.5x19.7x14.5 cm with multiple smaller nodules scattered all over the liver, suggestive of hemangioendothelioma or metastasis.
