Kronik Otitis Medianın Kafa İçi Komplikasyonlarının Değerlendirilmesi

✓ Evaluation of intracranial complications due to chronic otitis media The case records of 30 patients with intracranial complications due to chronic otitis media are reviewed. Cholesteatoma with or without granulation tissue in the mastoid cavity was found in 22 patients. Meningitis was the most common complication. There were four deaths, one for meningitis and three for brain abscess. Dry ears were obtained after surgery in 63 percent of the patients. Intracranial complications developed in two patients after mastoidectomy. . ✓ Kronik otitis media.sonucu kafa ici komplikasyon gelisen 30 hasta incelendi. 22 hastada granulasyon dokusu ile beraber veya yalniz basina kolesteatom bulundu. Menenjit en sik gorulen komplikasyondu. Biri menenjit ucu beyin absesinden olmak uzere 4 hasta oldu. Cerrahi mudahaleden sonra hastalarin %63'unde kuru kulak elde edildi. Iki hastada mastoidektomiden sonra yeniden kafa ici komplikasyon gelisti.
