Training in Nanoscience and Nanotechnology

In this chapter, we present new training programs set up at all the different levels from first degree to master’s and doctoral degrees in French higher education, in universities, engineering schools, and Grandes Ecoles, but also in high school or even in primary school, to prepare young people for the new and highly cross-disciplinary field of nanoscience and nanotechnology, together with their many applications. Maps show the availability of nano master’s degrees in France and across Europe. We also discuss measures adopted to better inform the general public.
