Preparation of virus-inactivated immunoglobulin solution
1992
PURPOSE: To provide an immunoglobulin soln. which obviates the occurrence of virus infection to a patient at the time of administration, is stable for a long period of time even without freeze drying and may be prepd. and preserved as it is as a injection soln. CONSTITUTION: The novel method for prepn. of the virus-inactivated immunoglobulin soln. suitable for administration by intravenous injection is disclosed. This method is characterized in that the immunoglobulin is treated by a nonionic surfactant and thereafter this surfactant is removed by solid phase extraction using a hydrophobic material.
