Vibration of threaded joints at an eigenfrequencies determined by the contact rigidity

The eigenfrequencies of threaded joints due to elastic deformation of the microroughness are calculated. The calculations are verified experimentally. Some examples of threaded joints are presented, and their eigenfrequencies are calculated. Reshetov’s recommendation that the minimal pressure in metallic joints should be no less than 1–2 MPa is confirmed by calculation.
