Establishment and Pathological Study of Acute Superior Mesenteric Vein Thrombosis Model in Rabbits

Objective To establish stable animal models of acute superior mesenteric vein thrombosis in rabbits,and observe its pathological changes.Methods Animal models of acute superior mesenteric vein thrombosis were made by ligating the vein,blocking blood flow,injuring the vascular wall and activating the coagulation factor,and the pathologic changes were observed during different periods.Results After the establishment of model,there is obvious thrombosis formation in the vascular,and the epithelial cells of intestinal go from edema to necrosis and falling off.Vascular endothelial cells collapse and fall off,until the matrix under vascular endothelial expose.Conclusions The model can be established successfully in this experiment,its pathological changes are consisted with clinic.This model is stable and reliable.
