Ist der Einsatz von Assessment-Instrumenten in der täglichen Praxis umsetzbar?

2008
PURPOSE: The study examines the question whether application of assessment instruments measuring health related life quality is feasible within daily practice of statutory accident insurance as well as which implication can be concluded. Measuring parameters of applied instruments are mapped to ICF and consider especially aspects of activities and participation in different areas of life. METHODS: Two different studies display application of assessment tools. Within the in-patient multimodal workers compensation therapy assessments from all treated injuries were collected at the start, after 3 weeks and after a follow-up of 6 months from insurants of workers compensation insurance. Within a second cohort of distal radius fractures assessments were collected by workers compensation insurance after notification of injury, at return to work, and after 9 months as follow-up. RESULTS: Data of 1 000 in-patient therapy cases of workers compensation insurance as well as 200 distal radius fracture cases are at hand. Despite differences while collecting the data practicability of process could be determined. Experiences of both study groups displayed valuable indications for modification of structure-, process- and result quality. Furthermore, sustainability of re-habilitation procedures of workers compensation insurance (VBG) could be proofed. CONCLUSION: Assessment instruments - even with different elevations - can be applied within daily practice for regular process optimisation. Additionally, they allow statements regarding value and benefit of treatment from affected patients as well as the insurance provider. Quantification of rehabilitation results by assessment processes allows putting these results into relation with applied economical instruments. Therefore, frequent application of such assessment tools allows a serious efficiency analysis.
