Avaliação do consumo alimentar e estado nutricional dos atletas de futebol profissional de um clube da cidade de Tubarão.

2018
Football is characterized by the execution of intermittent exercises with a variety of intensity in training and competitions. The adequacy of food intake for athletes can provide an optimization of energy systems, generating benefits in performance. Therefore, the objective of this study was to evaluate the food intake and nutritional status of professional soccer athletes from a club in the city of Tubarao. This is a cross-sectional, descriptive, quantitative and observational study, based on primary and secondary data, performed with athletes from a professional club in Tubarao / SC, scaled for the games of the Campeonato Catarinense de Futebol 2018. They were part of the sample 13 male athletes, mean age 26 years (± 3.01). For data collection, a questionnaire with objective questions, a food diary of the day of the game, as well as individual data of anthropometry and game technicians were used. The mean weight was 80.26 kg (± 6,2), with percentage of fat between good and excellent. The mean dietary intake of CHO in the game was 4.42 g / kg / day (± 1.70), PTN 2.75 g / kg / day (± 0.9) and LIP 2.07 g / kg / day (± 0.7). The average caloric intake of athletes on that day was 2,873 kcal (± 635). It is concluded that the results obtained in the present study suggest that all the evaluated athletes had a satisfactory percentage of fat with the recommendations of the literature, however, the ingestion of the macronutrients was inadequate with the recommendations of the Brazilian Society of Exercise Medicine and Sports, which may interfere negatively in the athletes' physical performance.
