Electromagnetic field radiation generated by pulsed non-thermal plasma discharge

2019
The benefits of non-thermal plasma have been proved effective in the agricultural field, medicine, and environmental control. The process used to obtain non-thermal plasma activated water uses a high voltage source and during plasma discharge is generated an electromagnetic radiation in the surrounding areas of the generator. The present paper assesses the radiated fields in the proximity of the non-thermal plasma reactors, during plasma activated water production, in order to identity their intensity for evaluating the impacts on the electronics or human operators in the near field. The electromagnetic fields are induced by electrical surface discharges and their intensity depends on the distance from the discharge point.
