Adverse pregnancy consequences and intervention in positive TPOAb women

Recent researches have shown that positive thyroid peroxidase antibody (TPOAb) in women during pregnancy was closely related to postpartum thyroiditis( PPT), abortion, postpartum depression (PPD) and had some adverse effects on offspring's intelligence development. Thus, in clinical practice ,attention should be paid to the relationship of positive TPOAb and adverse pregnancy consequences. In addition,TPOAb should be routinely monitored and some effective intervention should be taken as soon as early during pregnancy.
