It's time to tax

Global cannabis prohibition is slowly unravelling. On 6 November 2012, in separate ballot initiatives, 55% of voters in both Colorado and Washington states of the USA supported taxing and regulating cannabis. The ballots were the first time in the world that a majority of voters have rejected cannabis prohibition. Future ballot initiatives in other states of the USA now seem inevitable. The regulation of cannabis is now also being considered in a number of other countries, including Uruguay.
