The Diagnosis Value of Transvaginal Ultrasound for Endometrial Lesions

2013
Objective: To evaluate the diagnosis value of transvaginal ultrasound for endometrial lesions.Method: 80 cases confirmed endometrial lesions by hysteroscopy and pathologic examination were studied,80 patients were retrospectively analyzed at the same time of transvaginal ultrasound results, and abdominal ultrasound results and hysteroscopy and pathologic diagnosis were compared.Result: ① 80 patients with hysteroscopy and pathologic diagnosis of endometrial polyp 19 cases, endometrial hyperplasia 35 cases,5 cases of fibroids in the uterine mucosa,18 cases of endometritis,3 cases of endometrial cancer.Abdominal ultrasound diagnosis of 20 cases of endometrial polyps, endometrial hyperplasia,34 cases, eight cases of uterine submucosal myoma,15 cases of endometritis,3 cases of endometrial cancer.Transvaginal ultrasound diagnosis of 19 cases of endometrial polyps, endometrial hyperplasia,35 cases, six cases of fibroids in the uterine mucosa,17 cases of endometritis,3 cases of endometrial cancer.② After the diagnostic accuracy of abdominal ultrasound examination was 72.5%,misdiagnosis rate was 27.5%;the diagnostic accuracy of transvaginal ultrasound was 90.0%,misdiagnosis rate was 10.0%.Transvaginal ultrasound diagnostic accuracy rate was significantly higher than by the abdominal ultrasound examination, the misdiagnosis rate was significantly lower than by the abdominal ultrasound examination. Conclusion: Transvaginal ultrasound is simple, noninvasive, with high accuracy characteristics of the screening and diagnosis of endometrial lesions preferred and reliable method,is worthy of clinical application.
