Development of Nitrides Powders by SHS Method

Self-propagating high temperature synthesis(SHS) is an important research branch of materials synthesis methods.Much attention has been paid to powder synthesis for its predominance over traditional methods.This paper describes principle,reaction type,processes and powder preparation techniques of SHS method in detail.And preparation of silicon nitride,aluminum nitride,boron nitride,sialon luminescence and other nitrides powders are listed.At the same time,the research direction of SHS powders is reviewed in the paper.
