Aspecte imagistice în afecţiunile sistemului ventricular cerebral

2018
The accumulation of cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) at the cerebral and the ventricular system level leads to the occurrence of hydrocephalus, being a multifactorial disorder with a variety of pathophysiological mechanisms. The identification and classification of the hydrocephalus type is a challenge due to a variety of ventricular volumes from a wide variety of dog breeds with different conformations. The diagnosis of hydrocephalus is based on the identification of clinical signs complemented by brain imaging, using advanced imaging techniques such as magnetic resonance imaging.
