This Planning Advice Note accompanies SPP17 Planning for Transport, which gives guidance on policy. Planning Advice Note 75 provides good practice guidance which planning authorities, developers and others should carry out in their policy development, proposal assessment and project delivery. The document aims to create higher awareness of how linkages between planning and transport can be managed. The areas covered include: integration, transport strategies, development plans, associated regulatory mechanisms, co-operative working, transport modelling, accessibility analysis, location policy, mode share targets, parking standards, design, commitments, blight, transport assessment, travel plans, planning agreements, environmental assessment, Scottish transport appraisal guidance, roadside services, and influencing travel modes.
