Research on the Method of Using the PRISM Model to Improve the Estimated Time of the Project

This article focuses on PRISM, which is a tool developed by the University of Birmingham to analyze probabilistic systems. Through analyzing the mathematical model of estimating the project's expected time using the PERT/CPM network, this paper uses the PRISM method to optimize it, making the whole estimation process more comprehensive and stable, while ensuring the correctness of the final result. After a brief introduction to these two methods, a thorough analysis of the model including the relevant code will be described in detail. Although there are some limitations in the completion probability of the project, this paper generally proves the effectiveness of the PRISM probability model in calculating the expected time of large projects.
