Anterior spinal artery infarct in a young female mimicking tranverse myelitis

SLE affects 0.1% of the population and 50-60% SLE patients can have neurological involvement. Spinal cord infarction is a rare entity with an incidence of <1% of all strokes. We hereby report a case of a young female who was diagnosed with SLE, and who developed right foot drop, and paraparesis due to anterior spinal artery infarction which had clinically mimicked transverse myelitis.
