Clinical Value of Echocardiography in Diagnosing Noncompaction Ventricular Myocardium

Objective:To evaluate the diagnostic value of the noncompaction of ventricular myocardium,NVM by echocardiogra-phy.Methods:Use the multiple facets scan for the patients who are suspected to have the NVM by the two-dimensional,M-type and Doppler echocardiography.Results:9 cases all have the NVM on the left ventricular.Echocardiography could see multiple clutter left ventricular trabeculae muscles and deep trabecular muscles gaps(i.e,recess)which woven into a "sponge"-like network structure,and the trabecular gaps are interlinked with the ventricular cavity,the deep-hidden recesses blood flow communicate with the ventricular cavity.Non-NVM myocardial thickness is 2 thicker than the NVM's.Conclusion:Echocardiography is an important means for the diagnosis of the NVM and it can do the diagnosis even the patients haven't had the obvious clinical symptoms.
