Orbital lesion developed by a foreign body in the face after 12 years of trauma by explosion of fireworks

Abstract Every year countless patients are treated in emergency units around the world due to fireworks trauma. The conduct of the clinical case is challenging due to the great devastating potential characteristic of this type of trauma. These can range from small first-degree burns to large avulsions and multiple complex facial fractures. This article aims to discuss the clinical case of a patient affected by a fibro-osseous lesion in a fronto-zygomatic region that has progressed for 12 years due to fireworks explosion accident and local foreign body penetration. And in this way, to approach the conduct of the case, treatment and result, as well as to contribute to the limited scientific literature on this subject.
