• To develop a linear model for optimally scheduling land application rates for an aggrading (or degrading) soil as well as for a system once it has approached steadystate. • To allow multiple fertilizer and amendment types to be included. • To represent both immobilization and mineralization using a first-order model based on measurable parameters. • To develop a solution algorithm to consider user’s desired application dates for each material. • To test under field conditions where soil N status and crop uptake will be regularly monitored.
