STUDI TENTANG PERILAKU PENEMUAN INFORMASIMELALUI INTERNET OLEH SISWA/SISWI TUNA NETRA MADRASAH TSANAWIYAH (MTs) YAYASANKESEJAHTERAAN TUNA NETRA ISLAM YOGYAKARTA

This research using qualitative method. Data got from seven blind students in class 2 MTs Yaketunis Yogyakarta. The purpose of this research is to find design of information seeking of blind students in MTs Yaketunis Yogyakarta. To get data, the researcher employed observation, in-depth interview, and documentation methods. The analysis in this research uses the theory of Matthew B. Miles & A. Michael Huberman, which includes data reduction, data presentation, and verification. The result of this research are the information needs and the strategy to seek the information of blind students. The information needs for blind students are divided into two parts, they are lessons and information needs based on the information needs that suit with their interests. While the strategy is using the keywords as the basic to seek the information. The suggestions for MTs Yaketunis are increasing the speciffication of server, adding the computer items in computer lab, and adding the braille books for students in MTs Yaketunis Yogyakarta, so the students can get the other reference sources besides internet and they can expand their skill in reading and writing braille.
