Method for laser beam cutting

1995
A method for cutting a hole with a predetermined shape in a workpiece of a metallic material with a laser beam, comprising the follow steps: a1) predetermining a switching point (b) (on the cutting curve (3) in a predetermined distance to the start / end point a, c); a2) cutting the workpiece (of a start / end point a, c) to (to the switching point b) along the cutting curve (3) which follows the inner periphery of the hole, wherein the switching point (b) on the cutting curve (3) to be used to start / end point (a, c) and having first cutting conditions (A); b) switching the first cutting conditions (A) to second cutting conditions (B) upon reaching the changeover point (b); and c) cutting the workpiece by the switching point (b) to the start / end point (a, c) using the second cutting conditions (B); in which d1) the second cutting conditions (B) are chosen such that on one hand no cutting error occurs when the laser beam to the start / end point (a, c) in step c) is returned to ...
