A Call for Antimicrobial Stewardship in Patients with COVID-19: A Nationwide Cohort Study in Korea.

2020
Abstract Of 6,871 patients hospitalized with COVID-19 in Korea, 35.21% were prescribed antibiotics, and 22.16% received antibiotics against either methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus or Pseudomonas aeruginosa. There is an urgent need for antimicrobial stewardship for COVID-19 to prevent the collateral damage associated with antibiotic overuse.
