Simulation Analysis on Tank Gun Firing Dynamics Based on Rigid-flexible Coupling

Muzzle disturbance is an important factor that affects firing accuracy of tank gun.In order to study the rules of muzzle disturbance when the projectile comes out from the muzzle,a rigid-flexible coupling simulation model of tank is built based on multi-body dynamics and Finite Element Method(FEM).The flexible characteristic of gun barrel is taken into consideration in this model.The mode analysis of a tank gun is carried out and modal neutral file is obtained.In order to validate the simulation results of the rigid-flexible coupling model,the simulation and test results of the maximal recoil displacement and recoil velocity are contrasted.On the basis of that,this paper compares the effects on muzzle disturbance between rigid and flexible gun barrel,the results show that a rigid-flexible coupling model taking the flexible gun barrel into account can improve the dynamic simulation precision during the firing process.
