Comparison of the efficacy of 224Ra and other radio-isotopes in the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis

In the course of chronic inflammation rheumatism, synovial inflammation plays a major role in the production of osteocartilaginous lesions. The aim of different therapeutics is to destroy this pathological articular tissue. The use of radio-isotope in the treatment of chronic synovial effusion has been proposed since 1968. The authors compare the characteristics and the results of the 224Ra with four other radio-isotopes.
