Analysis of Syphilis Infection in Outpatients for Sexually Transmitted Diseases In Quzhou City

Objective To analyze the prevalence of syphilis infection and the risk factors of outpatient for sexually transmitted diseases(STD) in Quzhou city.Methods Total of 1 670 subjects with STD were selected and rapid plasma reagent testing (RPR) were performed.Patients with positive RPR test were confirmed by the Treponema pallidum particle agglutination(TPPA) test.Meanwhile,an epidemiologic questionnaire survey on STDs was conducted.The results which were relative to syphilis infection were analyzed by logistic regression analysis.Results The prevalence of syphilis was 9.10%.Most of the patients were in early phases(80.92%),the second was the recessive syphilis(17.76%).The logistic regression analysis indicated that the risk factors were history of marriage,unsafe sexual behavior,two or more sexual partners and sexual partners with syphilis,the protective factor was the using of condoms.Conclusion The early syphilis infection is the most clinic types but the recessive syphilis can not be ignored in the outpatients for STD.The syphilis screening ought to be strengthened in the population with unsafe sexual behaviours and their sexual partners.
