With the aim of characterizing restenosis intrastent, conducted a retrospective study including 44 patients (45 lesions) of the 951 treated at the CIMEQ between January 1998 and April 2006. We considered the clinical features and angiograficas baseline, kind of restenosis and time of diagnosis. Obtaining amean age 55.2 ± 9.7 years, masculinity of 75.65%, hypertension 72.7%, smoking 56.8%, single arterial 54.5%, stable angina 61.4% and ejection fraction of 63.5 ± 11.3%. 57.8% of the lesions were located in anterior descending and 53.3% in the middle third, and dominated the B2 and C (69%). 55.5% had restenosis focal with 51.1% of them diagnosed on the 3rd and 4th month. The study concludes that location in anterior descending, male, diabetes, a disease multiarterial, total occlusions, long stent and the small minimal luminal diameter increased risk of restenosis diffuse. Half of cases occur between the 3rd and 4th month. Keywords: Reestenosis, stent, coronary intervention.
