Cancer du pancréas révélé par un épisode de pancréatite aiguë Pancreatic cancer revealed by acute pancreatitis

We report a case of an adenocarcinoma in the body of the pancreas, revealed by an episode of acute pancreatitis in a 52-year-old woman with a past history of cholecys- tectomy. It is a rare presentation of pancreatic cancer. The diagnosis was done by magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and pancreatic biopsy. The patient was treated by chemo- radiotherapy with a survival of 19 months. To cite this journal: J. Afr. Cancer 3 (2011).
