2021
Introduction: The provision of medical care has associated a risk that can endanger the life of patients, causingan increase in hospitalization, a deterioration of health status, a permanent injury or death. An adverse event (AE)is an "unintentional injury caused to the patient as an unexpected clinical result of health care and that may ormay not be associated with a clinical error".The notification of adverse events related to health care is one of the key points to understand the productionmechanism and thus prevent its appearance. In Andalusia there is a mobile application (APP) created by thePatient Safety Observatory to communicate therisks related to patient safety, called AVIZOR.Objectives: To evaluate the impact of the use of an APP in the notification of adverse events, in the Costa delSol Hospital’s emergency.Methodology: A quasi-experimental study of a pre-post type with a non-equivalent control group, performed inCosta del Sol Hospital in the emergency area. A comparison will be made between the AE records of the previousyear to the use of AVIZOR and the year of implementation of the APP. Prior to its use, a knowledge questionnaireon clinical safety and AE will be carried out and at the end of the period a feedback questionnaire on the use ofthe APP will be made to the professionals who participate in the study
