An objective of the present invention is to provide a novel semiconductor device, a semiconductor device capable of consuming less power, a semiconductor device capable of operating at high speed, or a semiconductor device with which it is possible to reduce surface area. The present invention has a first electricity-storage circuit, a second electricity-storage circuit, a first switch, and a second switch. Energization of the first switch is controlled by a first signal, and energization of the second switch is controlled by a second signal. The invention has a function for outputting a first potential from the first electricity-storage circuit via the first switch, and a function for outputting a second potential from the second electricity-storage circuit via the second switch. A third potential is outputted from the serially connected first electricity-storage circuit and second electricity-storage circuit via the second switch.
