A survey and analysis on nursing students' knowledge-attitude-practice of occupational safety and health

[Objective]To investigate the basic situation of knowledge,attitude and practice(KAP) about the occupational safety and health in nursing students,and provide the theoretical basis to develop the occupational safety and health education for these students.[Method]cross - sectional survey by the instrument of KAP and education about nursing occupational safety and health.[Result]The knowledge level of occupational safety and health is low.On average,the rate of correct answer is 56. 25%,the highest aspect is social and psychological aspect(65.03%) and the lowest aspect is physical aspect(42.57%).5 points is the perfect score on attitude and practice.The average score on attitude is 4.57±0.38,and integrated aspect has the highest scores(4.74±0.46),social and psychological aspect has the lowest scores(4.47±0.49).The average score on practice is 3.89±0.50,and chemistry aspect has the highest scores((4.21±0.57),biological aspects aspect has the lowest scores(3.64±0.49).[Conclusion]Nursing students are short of knowledge,positive attitude,protective behaviors.Their safety and health are threatened,and educators need to implement effective strategies to provide the training and education.
