Estimation of Number of WakeLocks with Accelerated Android

It was demonstrated that monitoring and counting executions of WakeLock are a useful and easy way in the Android operating system for estimating power consumption. However, dynamic analyses involving actual application execution take a very long time, and an accelerated Android operating system, with which the speed of time flow recognized by application in it was accelerated, was proposed. In this paper, we propose methods for estimating the number of WakeLock executions in a normal state, i.e. without acceleration, based on the information on the number of execution with accelerations. We then evaluate the estimated number and show that this method can estimate the number with an accelerated operating system.
