A novel asymmetric stepped‐impedance hairpin resonator and its filter application
2009
In this article, a newly asymmetric stepped-impedance hairpin resonator (SIR), comprised of a meander line and a pair of symmetric parallel coupled lines, is presented to implement circuit reduction. Moreover, a compact filter is designed and constructed by using this novel asymmetric SIR and a slotted ground plan for spurious suppression. This proposed low-pass filter vas designed, fabricated, and measured. The experimental results of the filter have a good agreement with the simulated results. (C) 2009 Wiley periodicals. Inc.
