Analysis of Cancer Incidence in 246,124 Individuals' Physical Examinations in Changsha Region

Objective To reveal the characteristics of cancer incidence in subjects of routine physical examination in Changsha region,and to strive for more foreseeability and pertinency in cancer prevention and treatment. Methods The medical data of cancer incidence in 246,124 individuals who had completed physical examination in the Health Management Center,Third Xiangya Hospital of Central South University from 2007 to 2010 were analyzed. Results A total of 139 patients with malignant tumors were found,with the average detection rate of 0.565‰ per year.The incidence of lung cancer was the highest(33.1%),followed by the incidence of liver cancer(15.8%) and breast cancer(15.8%). Conclusions Routine medical examination is helpful to detect early stage malignant tumors.In the work of tumor prevention,looking lung cancer as emphasis will reduce the incidence of cancer significantly.Breast ultrasonography should be examined as an emphatic point in female.
