Lift with linear drive unit

PURPOSE: To assemble the reaction part of a lift shaft precisely by forming a linear motor as a synchronous motor, and decentering a travelling cage so as to be fixed to a holding rope for increase in finishing precision of respective structures. CONSTITUTION: A lift 1 is mounted in a lift shaft 2 and has a traveling cage 3 connected to a counter weight 5 through a supporting rope 4. A guide device 6 consisting of two vertical guide rails 7 and a plurality of horizontal members 8 connected to the guide rails 7 mutually is useful for the guide of the travelling cage 3. The lift 1 is driven by the linear motor formed as a synchronous motor, and its short stator is disposed in the dead space of the backface side of the counter weight 5. The short stator is disposed against a magnetic strip piece 15 having a U-shaped cross section, rushes into the magnetic strip piece 15, and is fixed to the horizontal binder 8 bound to the guide rails 7 mutually.
