The application prospects of graphene in dental implantation

Graphene, honored as ′black gold′, is worthy of ′the king of new materials′ in 21st century. Due to its unique structure and excellent properties, it is expected to be widely used in biomedical fields such as tissue engineering, drug delivery, gene loading and biological imaging. Graphene has vast application prospects in the field of oral medicine. The properties including biocompatibility, cytotoxicity, antibacterial activity, promoting osteogenic differentiation and the unique mechanism are discussed.
