2015
The Laser was one of the first atherectomy devices to be used for the treatment of complex SFA disease. It is has tremendous versatility, used for crossing SFA occlusions, ablation of plaque, and most recently has received approval for the treatment of instent restenosis. It is effective in treating a variety of lesions from hard calcified lesions to soft acute thrombus. The catheter sizing goes from 0.9 to 2.5 mm. By varying the energy levels a much larger lumen than the size of the catheter can be achieved
