Experimental study on column and beam joint of steel frame with perforation type in diaphragm

In order to verify the failure modes and mechanical properties of the joint of column and beam which section is small and wall of column is thickness with perforation type diaphragm,an experiment was done under the condition of low cycle frequency load to a perforation type column and beam joint with full-size T-shaped diaphragm.The failure process and feature of specimen were analyzed;carrying capacity,ductility and more performance were studied.Experimental results show that the specimens formed plastic hinges at the end of beam when joint is in failure;it meets the design requirement of strong column to weak beam and strong node to weak component.The hysteresis curve of the joints is full;it shows better carrying capacity and energy dissipation capacity.
