Dutch resolution and nucleation inhibition

2005
A brief description of Dutch Resolution as resolution method for racemates is given together with examples of "families" of structurally related resolving agents that are commonly used. Some or these family members are now known to act as nucleation inhibitors that hold the more soluble diastereomer longer in solution (widen metastable zone width). Some examples are given.
