Characterization of a major EA-D component of the EBV-induced EA complex

Several EBV-related antigens have beea identified by indirect immunofluorescence using sera from patients and healthy virus carriers. Of these antigens, EA is diagnostically valuable since its presence appears to indicate an active infection and is therefore of potential prognostic importance.
