The usefulness of dermoscopy for the recognition of basal cell carcinoma – seborrhoeic keratosis compound tumours

Most of these tumours are trivial and curiosi-ties that are of no clinical importance. Occasionally they canbe very significant, for example, in the development of amalignant neoplasm in association with a benign lesionand, above all, in cases where the tumour is only clinicallyrecognizable in the benign portion of the lesion. In somecases the accuracy of clinical diagnosis with the naked eyeis limited and diagnosis can be assisted and clarified bydermoscopy.
