Acute abdominal pain: the importance of genital examination.

AbstractTorsion of an intra-abdominal testis is a rare cause of acute abdominal pain. The purpose of this report is to highlight a case of torsion of an abdominal testis in a patient with an unusual clinical presentation, with the fortuitous diagnosis of a “carcinoma in situ” and to emphasize the role of routine genital examination when investigating patients with abdominal pain.
