Fission with preliminary emission of. gamma. rays in the reaction /sup 239/Pu(d,pf )

Relative yields of neutrons and ..gamma.. rays from the reaction /sup 239/Pu(d,pf ) have been measured in the excitation-energy region 5.5--8.8 MeV. A decrease of the ..gamma..-ray yields is observed at excitation energies 5.75, 6.85, and 7.9--8.3 MeV.
