THE EFFECT OF AGGREGATE SHAPE ON THE WEAR RESISTANCE OF ASPHALT PAVEMENT - A STUDY WITH FIELD TEST SLABS

The aim of this study was to determine the effect of particle shape on the wear resistance of stone mastic asphalt (SMA) by using test slab method.This method was developed in Sweden and is used for the first time in Finland. Test slabs were placed on the main road 1 on the border of Espoo and Helsinki.
